But the real heartbeat of Kudzu’s was on stage, where local and touring punk, bluegrass, and rock bands played nightly. Famous for its unexpectedly excellent food, like their classic Hoosier pork tenderloin sandwich, the beloved dive closed its doors in 2013, leaving a lasting mark on Memphis’s underground music scene.
